Welcome to Participatory Development Centre (PDC)
Participatory Development Centre (PDC), a training and research organization offers different courses/workshops through out the year. PDC provides technical support to individuals, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Faith Based Organizations (FBOs), Local Non Governmental Organizations (LNGOs), International Non Governmental Organizations (INGOs), United Nations (UN) bodies, Government sectors and Private sectors working in many countries of Africa. This client centered support focuses on three main areas:
- Conducting tailor made training programs to suit specific needs of the collaborating development agency
- Intervention geared towards addressing organizational specific challenges / enhance capacities of the stakeholders
- Facilitate social studies, operation / baseline survey, capacity assessment, participatory evaluations necessary for sustainable development.
A well trained, experienced and exposed team of trainers having served the horn of Africa is in place.
The peace journey towards healing in Kenya
 The post election violence that rocked Kenya left tremendous wounds among the 42 ethnic groups. Lives were lost, properties destroyed and families displaced. The aftermath of this has included bitter feelings among ethnic groups that form the social fabric of the Kenyan Society. For Kenya to regain her position in the region, concerted efforts, at various levels to build peace among the Kenyan ethic groups remains critical.
PDC has taken a deliberate effort, to exploit her spheres of influence in conflict resolution and peace building, to work with community based organizations and faith based institutions, through partnership with various organizations to begin the peace journey towards greater healing in the country.
